When you need protection against severe weather but can't afford the weight of overkill pants, suit up for the mountains with the Arc'teryx Men's Alpha LT Pants. Waterproof breathable, three-layer Gore-Tex Pro fabric keeps even the harshest snowstorm from getting you wet, and these pants' clean design cuts weight to only 16.8 ounces. The Arc'teryx Alpha LT Pants include full-length side zips to make layering and shedding layers simple, and removable suspenders ensure they stay up when you're battling your way through a burly mountain storm.

Bottom Line: Long, hard, steep alpine routes call for the lightweight, high-performance Arc'teryx Alpha LT Pants.

check out the Stinger Bib in Slate. it's not a traditional bib, but more of a high waisted pant (great to keep pow out of your pants, but not too hot) the come in lengths, and are the nicest pants I've ever used. You'd probably want a small which measure 31/28.5. they'll fit perfect with a fleece pant underneath.

Just got back from the first winter backpacking trip in northern CT, and these pants worked great. I wore them over midwieght wool long underwear, and they weren't bulky or constrictive (waist is just above belt line and suspenders are in just the right spots). Climbed some decent rock ascents and never worried about them getting hurt in anyway, very durable. I also walk to school and two jobs in New England and carry these as my everyday rain pants (pack relatively small, I carry mine in an eagle creek half cube). Can't find harsh enough weather yet to even get these pants close to their potential. Highly recommend these worth every penny !!!!

It's a lighter feeling fabric with no ripstop texture, but it has much higher abrasion than you'd expect for such a smooth textile. these are sweet!

These have a cinch in the bottom hem and works well to keep snow out. Designed as a hiking/winter climbing pant.

it's listed that suspenders are removable, but can you remove it COMPLETELY so you can just wear it as a pant? I have an outdoor research mentor pant- suspenders are removable, but only at the front, you still have to use the suspender.i believe Mountain Hardwear Defiant pant allows suspenders be removed completely.thanks
