    Branches rarely play nice.

Arborwear arborists tested the Men’s Tree Climbers’ Pant where it counts. A Frankenstein of rock-climbing mobility and tree-defying toughness, the O.G. Pant takes the abuse of working in the brush without causing you any pain. Originally intended for the rugged people who spend their days wrestling with tree parts, outdoor enthusiasts soon glimpsed the promise of a pant that could put up with going to hell and back every day.

    Nearly indestructible

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30x30

I have short legs so these pants ran an inch too long. Didn't matter though because I usually roll the leg up once. Aside from the size, these are the bees knees. A little stiff at first, but once you wear them a few times they become crazy comfortable. The double panel on the thighs is awesome, helped stop a Fanno brush saw from cutting my leg. Wore these for 2 months doing heavy trail work, I still wear them in the off season.

    Best pant ever

Literally the only work pants I own. The gusseted crotch and fit of these is amazing. I am a skier, I have a big thighs and most pants just do not fit me. These do. Super tough. Tough zipper, tough pockets (thigh pocket fits a pruning shears perfectly) and tough closure system. I can actually climb in these pants. I have had 6 or so pairs of these pants and have worn out a few but only after heavy, heavy abuse. Get these, you wont regret it.

    Far superior to Carhartts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These pants are great. I wore them all summer as a landscaper and they were absolutely the best choice. The fit is less baggy than Carhartts, so they didn't get in the way walking all day. The gusseted crotch makes an incredible difference when climbing or kneeling. The only thing I noticed is that they fade rather quickly, but that's fine.

TooSmall or TooBig? Never just right!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 30 and 32 waist

Initially got the 30 waist, thinking it might be snug in the waist.
But it runs small and was extremely tight in the crotch area, waist
size was snug but I could have lived with it.
Next, I got the 32 waist. It was loose in the waist, but the rear leg cut was weird. I know the leg area was suppose to be loose, but
when I looked and turned there was so much material that created this horrible flap down the backside. It sucked.

Ugh - Weird cut - wish they worked

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small

I bought these last season and they have been worn once and otherwise are just folded sadly in a drawer with no use.

I really like the beefy leg construction but here is the major problem: They are super baggy in the ass and legs and tight in the waist. I wear a slim cut 34/32 in khakis but these pants are constricting in the waist and baggy as hell every where else.

I was lazy and waited too long to return : - ( so there they sit with no use.

These pants are the "well, maybe I'll wear them someday" pants that never do.

Wish I'd have returned them when I had the chance.

So, if you are super narrow waisted and thick through the ass and legs, these pants might fit you.

    Women's Tree Climbers'...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

...would be awesome to see on backcountry. All the positive reviews of the men's pants are true of the women's as well. They are my favorite work, climbing and just all-around pants, without a doubt.

    Pretty Good

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These pants feel and look really tough. The fit is just ok, I feel like there is way too much fabric in the thighs and crotch. They have been fairly durable but they are showing more wear and tear than I expected in just a few months of ownership.

    Best pants I own!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are by far the best pair of pants that I currently own. I wear them pretty much all summer for work (building trail and backpacking) and they hold up great!. They incredibly comfortable and the fabric is very durable. The reinforced crotch and knees really do make a difference when digging in the dirt and rocks all day. They can be stiff at first, but after a few days of wear that will quickly go away. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone!

    Best Pants Ever

Had these pants for a bit over a year now. Pretty much the only pants I wear now because I am either wearing these or just rocking shorts. Amazing for working in, anything from metalwork to tree climbing to trail work. Also great for hiking and climbing where you need a more rugged pant. Not exactly a light weight option but far better than jeans, dickies or similar work pants.
Would and have bought them again and would recommend them to anyone. A++

      Best Pants Ever

      LOVE THESE

Can't say enough good things about these pants. I use them all summer long, both for building trail and backpacking in (I do a lot of bushwhacking). I've put pairs of these through amazing amounts of abuse, and they just take it. When you first get a new pair, they do feel a little bit like stepping into a canvas tent, but after you break them in they get super comfy. The reinforced crotch and knees are a life saver. I prefer the tan to the blue, I've found they seem to hold up better for some reason.

        Don't really like the fit...

I love the material, I love the price but I just don't like the fit of these. They have a straight leg and a slight taper towards the bottom which is fine but there is just way too much excess material in the crotch/seat of the pants. I've had pants like these before which seem like the designer of the garmet didn't take into account the extra material a gusseted crotch adds to the overall diameter of the pants. The result is a rather un-aspiring, and a weird unflattering look to them. They remind me of Dickies– how they are not supposed to be baggy per-say but they have a oversized and wide stiff look to them. To be honest they look like army pants or park ranger pants...

I am NOT a skinny jean type I just have skinnier legs and prefer a true straight leg/athletic type fit. These Arborwears don't have that. With a climbing harness there is just too much material bunched up.

          Best Pants

These are the best work pants out there, whether your climbing tress or not. They hold up WAY better then both Carharts and Mountain Khakis. The tapered leg is the best part about them, if you're on the skinnier side both Carharts and Mountain Khakis look huge.
I own the Originals and a pair of the flannel lined originals which are great for the winter.

            Love you long time

I have worn these since 2000 and finally begged them for a job! They are pre-washed 3 times which makes them soft and won't shrink! My favorite thing about them is they are tough as nails without being abrasive and the diamond gusset in the crotch is great mobility. Obviously, I am a fan.
