Developed in collaboration with Steve Klassen, owner of Mammoth's Wave Rave snowboard shop and five-time winner of the Verbier Extreme freeride contest, the Arbor Steepwater Snowboard is a directional, traditional camber board for freeride purists riding the steepest, gnarliest terrain on the planet.
The board's extra-stiff flex allows riders to bomb steeps, send huge cliffs, and charge through variable snow conditions, while traditional camber and a relatively narrow waist deliver powerful edgehold and fluid edge-to-edge transitions through tight chutes and treacherous terrain. Furthermore, the Steepwater has a large-radius sidecut for straight-line stability, and it's slightly tapered for added float in deep, untracked powder.
Continuing Arbor's dedication to craftsmanship, the Steepwater features a Power Ply topsheet with premium burled eucalyptus for a striking finish, not to mention enhanced energy return. Inside this hard-charging ride, you'll find a blend of paulownia and poplar for robust strength and durability. Adding torsional rigidity to the board, triax fiberglass ensures maximum energy transfer without unwanted flex when you're riding at scary-fast speeds. Additionally, you'll find the board's extruded base is easy to repair when you thrash it on rocks and stumps hidden under the snow.
