The Element features The System Rocker for greater versatility when you're riding everything with a single board. This full parabolic rocker is more pronounced in the center of the board, with the rocker's arc becoming mellower as you work towards the tip and tail. Ultimately, this rocker design delivers catch-free turn initiation, so you're not hooking up on hardpack runs or suddenly caught off-balance on landings. Another benefit, rocker is great for increasing float by naturally lifting the board's nose from the snow, thereby avoiding the plowing effect of a traditional cambered board.

It's no secret that rocker-dominant boards lack grip when conditions are firm to downright icy. Alleviating this pitfall, the Grip Tech sidecut adds two additional contact points along each edge for aggressive hold in crappy snow conditions. Looking inside, there's a Double Barrel core comprised of full poplar, with tip-to-tail bamboo struts for increased snap and energy transfer. Mixed Glassing combines triax and biax fiberglass, maintaining response and control, but without the overly aggressive feel of many high-end decks.
