Do the math.

With increasingly more crowded lift lines and less fresh tracks year after year, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what to do. Leave the resort behind and seek out untouched pow on lonely peaks with the Arbor Abacus Splitboard. It has a split-specific version of Arbor's System rocker that improves float in pow while also making skinning easier so you can get more turns with less burn.

With The System Rocker profile, this split uses several different design elements to provide true rocker performance while maintaining an incredible amount of edge hold and pop. It features a parabolic arc that is more rockered between the bindings and less rockered at the tip and tail to give it float in powder and a catch-free feeling on hardpack, while making turn initiation fluid and easy. The reclined version of this gives it a floatier nose and ensures plenty of on-snow contact for easy skinning. The Grip Tech sidecut uses two additional contact points along each edge to allow for reliable edge hold on a rocker profile whether you're skinning or riding.

Carbon uprights at the tip and tail add stiffness and pop while you're pushing through turns, launching natural features, and stomping tricky landings. The triax-over-biax fiberglass lay-up gives it a responsive feel for greater precision and control in technical terrain, and a blend of poplar and paulownia wood in the Highland core makes the board strong and snappy while keeping weight to a minimum. The gorgeous topsheet is made of burled eucalyptus for an eye-catching look and increased strength and response.

The included Karakoram clips actively pull the two halves of the board together to substantially improve torsional rigidity for a solid ride that feels closer to regular snowboarding. It's finished off with 360-degree full-wrap sidewalls that crank up the durability, and a sintered base absorbs wax well and resists damage from rocks and stumps hidden beneath the snow.
