Not just a frontside ripper.

Like a fly suit, a good haircut, and a nice pair of shoes, camber is timeless and under-appreciated. Rocker has its place—and the tips and tails of Amplid's Rockwell Ski do have some rise to smooth out soft snow—but when you need to lay over an edge on hardpack, you want the bite that only a traditional construction can provide. Along with it's all-mountain-destroying camber profile, the Rockwell has a generous amount of sidecut, giving it a short turning radius and ridiculous grip that just might give you flashbacks to your days as a grom on the slalom course. Now that you're an adult, you can have a set of planks that bite like a slalom ski without requiring you to be wearing a speed suit and pads. Plus, the increased length and wider tips let the Rockwell float and shovel its way through pow like a fatter board, demonstrating how its Jekyll & Hyde geometry lays down an impressive edge, surprising float, and smooth turn initiation for an almost too-good-to-be-true ride all over the mountain.

Also contributing to its go-anywhere attitude, the Omni wood Amplid uses to construct the Rockwell's core with lends it a lively energy whether you're holding your breath through tight trees or seeing how low you can go on a groomer. The Rockwell, like most Amplid skis, also sports a Triaxial glass laminate, which  gives it stability and snap that won't fade as the ski ages. The Roundtop construction combines the bomber edgehold of ABS sidewalls with the flex and lightness of a cap, and the All Terrain tips help reduce chatter and keep the Rockwell spinny and responsive in the air.
