No Merino Sheep were harmed in making this product...pissed off, but not hurt. Merino is softer and not itchy. It's the bomb of wool.

Merino wool is still just wool from sheep. Merino is a specific breed of sheep, and they come from all over the world. A lot of them are in New Zealand. It has finer fibers, so it dries faster and itches less, but other than that it's still wool.
