    Minimalist freedom for your feet.

The Altra Men's One 2.5 Running Shoe has the versatility to go from casual training sessions to full marathons. Fully Cushioned Zero Drop helps you maintain a proper form while the Natural Ride System works with the Foot-shaped toe box to ensure a natural stride. Air mesh makes the upper breathable for warmer weather, and the Contour footbed provides a touch of cush for comfort. The A-Bound midsole returns energy to your step, and InnerFlex ensures a worn-in feeling right out of the box. The FootPod sole utilizes rubber pads in high-wear areas to provide traction on a variety of terrain.

The One 2.5 are the lightest and most minimal shoe in the Altra line. I've put four runs in them and here's the feedback I have so far!

These are the most flexible and lightest road shoe I have ever used, and it's very noticeable (in appearance as well as the ride). The midsole is all EVA and an outsole is non-existent besides a few small additions you can see from my photo (the dark blue patches). The high flexibility is wonderful and you can literally roll this shoe into a ball. That being said, be wary if you're used to something like the Torin or Olympus trail shoe then switch over to the One 2.5. To no surprise, my lower legs and feet were much more fatigued after a 20miler in these compared to the others. The One 2.5 will likely take some getting used to.

The upper fits like a glove, with some extra room in the toe-box for your forefoot to spread out upon landing. I feel the One 2.5 cater to those who want a light racing shoe, a quick shoe for speed play, or have an efficient gait and prefer the most minimal road shoe available.

    good brand of shoe

    Saaweeet Runnin' Shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 10

I switched to these because in non zero drop shoes I tend to heel strike and it was giving me shin splints, especially in my left leg. I have been paying more attention to my stride as well but since I've started wearing these and working on my stride, my shin splints have pretty much completely gone away. I really like these shoes, but they do take some getting used to, you might get some strange aches and pains in your feet the first couple of weeks. They are super light and they fit well, I wear 10's in pretty much all running shoes and these were 10's as well. For reference I also wear 10's in the Nike Pegasus as well.

Good shoe to have in the Arsenal

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 9.5

The wide toe box allows for tons of breath ability and room in the toe. Great shoe to have whenever blisters are a issue or you feel like you just need some extra toe room.

    Zero Drop!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I bought these for my husband for his work/road running shoes, since he frequently runs home from work. He works 12 hours days on his feet and was looking for something that would feel better to stand in all day, that his regular street shoes. I have the same pair in womens and love them beyond belief so told him to get this pair. They have been making a huge difference for him at work. His knees and lower back feel better now that he has these comfy shoes.

They are Zero drop (he runs in barefoot shoes) so they are still great for his style of running and shoe, but just an added comfort. They do run a tad small when you first put them on, but after a couple times of use they stretch to the appropriate length. The material is also thin, and breathable, but still durable; Which is nice for summer and warm fall days. We bought him a size 8 which is generally what size he wears in most shoes, and they fit perfectly (after the two long days of use).He also has really wide feet, so it’s hard to find a good shoe that fits right and he generally has to size up a half size to get the extra width. With these he did not have to. They are wide and flex with the movement of your foot (due to the thin fabric.)

I highly suggest these. The only complaint that we both had is that when first worn they are a tad too small which can cause some small blisters on your big toe. But ones stretched out this goes away.
