Cot is amazing!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Have used this cot a LOT! Setup is quick and painless. Very sturdy. Well made. Great buy!
Very large - Good product
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought this along with the ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Cot. While I take the lightweight version with me when comfort camping, I use the Titan at home as an extra bed when needed. It's easy to set up and take down, packs down to fit in the bottom or corner of a closet, and is actually very comfortable. A good product, but just a little too bulky for my original intention, which was to use it for comfort camping. Those who own large vehicles and want luxury out in the wild will like this cot.

Do you make a Titan cot that is 30" wide. What's with the 40". No room in the tent.
ALPS Mountaineering does make it in the Large size which is 30" but unfortunately it doesn't look like Backcountry carries it at all.

You don't give any dimensions for your Alps amp Cot. Is it the 30" or 40" model?
The XL in stock is the 40" model. Dimensions are: 40" wide x 85" long x 21" high. Folded dimensions when in it's carrying case are: 5x9x48"
Recommend the Titan Cot
I purchased the Titan Camp Cot for Boy Scout car camping trips. I have serious issues getting up off the ground. I am 6'-4" tall, physically fit, but have extremely bad knees. I have used it one time and slept incredibly well. So well I think I can do with a 30" wide model. The 40" wide model is huge in a 10' X 12' tent. I would definitely buy the aluminum frame model again and the 40" wide is ideal for the cabin or as a spare bed. Stick to a narrower model for tenting.
