Why We Like The Crescent Lake Sleeping Bag

A favorite of ours for its comfortable, straightforward design, the Alps Mountaineering Crescent Lake Sleeping Bag is warm enough for when we wake up to a ring of frost around the lake we've camped next to. Its Tech Loft+ insulation maintains warmth in humid climates, or if rain happens to dampen the inside of your tent. Plus, the Crescent Lake comes in a large stuff sack suitable for most car camping trips.

Great to sleep in, bulky to carry

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Excellent sleeping bag for the price. Warm and comfortable - never woke up cold in 20° nights without a tent. It did, however, take up a surprising amount of space in my 85L pack... I'd recommend getting a compression stuff sack if you're going backpacking with this bag. Otherwise it's been great!

Not backpacker friendly

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

This bag is huge! Def not one you'll want to do multi-night trips with, it will take up your entire pack.

Good sleeping bag for the price.

I've only used it once for camping, and it did what I needed. Simple bag for simple camping, not for backpacking or extreme weather imo. good bag for the price

Not bad for the price

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Picked up for my son for short overnights. He had no complaints the couple times he has used it. I tried it and it's too small for me. In the bag's defense, I'm 6'2 and the bag was a size regular. So if you're my size, go large. Also, it says 20° rating, but I think that's a stretch. It is a good and cheap bag for short overnights in mild weather.

This is a really nice syn mix bag for the price. You're not going to base camp at Everest, this bag will likely do you fine. We use this as a "family camping" bag.
