Little bit bulky but super comfy. I like this better then my bed!

Bag is good quality and warm, but bulky

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This is a good, warm bag for the price. I bought it as a gift for a friend I went backpacking with . The bag was warm and comfortable, but we did notice it was bulky size wise on the trip.

Anyone know the dimensions for the Long vs Reg vs Wide?

For stuff sack dimensions, click on the link under Specs. I imagine with enough work, you can stuff it into whichever compression bag you have/want to buy.

Great bag just a little bulky

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used this bag twice now in January. One night temperatures dropped to 33 and the other was 37. Both times I stayed extremely warm. I have a slumberjack which is rated for 20 but it never kept me this warm. The only drawback of this bag is the size. It is on the bulky side but for the price, you won't go wrong.

Yes it's big, but it's so warm!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bag may be rather colossal but it is soooo comfortable. I run really really cold but in this bag I am nice and toasty. The size and weight are definitely worth it to me, but may not be worth it to you.

warm and bulky

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got this bag because it was a good price but it is bulky! I was warmer than my friends who had more compact bags which was nice but the bag took up most of my pack. It was so warm and snug! it was about 30 or lower and damp rainy nights and I slept great.

What is the weight of the bag?

Great Bag, and Price!

I've been using this sleeping bag for a couple of months now sleeping in a hammock and it has fit the bill wonderfully. The footbox is a little smaller than i anticipated but it's not a big deal. Its a great bag for a rainy weekend in the woods. I've slept in it down to 45 degrees partially zipped, but i believe even 60 would be do-able. I have no doubt that it will keep me warm down to Zero degrees. The zipper catches the inside if you dont hold it out of the way when you zip it up, but other than that i love it!

I'm going on a horse pack trip the end of...

I'm going on a horse pack trip the end of June in Montana. The guide recommends a 0 degree bag. I'm thinking synthetic to save money. Is this or the Kelty a better choice?

I have this bag. I'm 5'9" and flux between 175/180lbs. But this bag is prefect. Plenty of room and super warm. If I lay on my side even my dog. A 60lb american pitbull can curl up and fit in lol. down side is even with a compression sack is big. need bigger ruck/backpack thats all I guess.

The regular size is too short for me or my son - both around 6'. I'm heavier (220lb) and feel claustrophobic. My son is 180 and likes the width. We are giving the regular to my daughter and buying two larger sized bags. Also, the zipper is tempermental immediately and may be a problem.

Hey Kyle,
This bag appears to have a full length right side zipper. See the photo I uploaded from the manufacturer product page. Hope that helps out.

so nice

this bag is a little bulky but once you are in it you do not want to get out. Great bag for the price if you dont mind how big it is. I was also fine with out a sleeping pad because it so soft.

What're the packed dimensions?

Responded on

Jon, here are the dimensions...

Crescent Lake 0 Regular - 11" Diameter x 18" Length
Crescent Lake 0 Long - 12" Diameter x 18" Length

Hope that helps.

With the Alps "cyclone" compression sack size L, I get my 0F Alps Crescent Lake down to about 9x16, but my bag is an XL wide... which is huge... so I'm sure the regular size would compress smaller.
