Useful little table

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used this table several times at home and on a car camping trip. The ALPS small size (~2'x2' top), light weight (aluminum), and carry bag made the camp table easy to transport (it is too large for any backpacking application). Set up is straight forward and much easier than an older/different manufacturer similar table we already own. We use it to support cooking stuff, so the knee interference issue another reviewer noted was not a factor. Recommend.

Excellent light-weight camping table

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great table for camping trips. Its low weight makes it easy to carry around in the supplied bag with strap. Building the table is simple. It is not stable enough to support an adult, so do not try to stand on that table to reach something or put heavy weight on it. Also, make sure your chair seat height is not too high, otherwise your knees will bump into the supporting aluminum stick cross (see pic).

So the table is 28x28", 27" tall, weighs 9lbs, folded in included stuff sack is 4x6x32", aluminum, except for the fittings.

I know what you mean...some product specs and descriptions are more detailed than others. More info and consistency would be great- REI's spec pages are the format to follow. Try finding extended specs for BC's Stoic brand. Nobody can find anything but the most basic stuff anywhere.

A MUST HAVE for car camping

Tired of camping like a caveman/cavewoman?
Treat yourself and give your primitive looking campsite a blast of the future.

It folds up into the size of a large camp chair and will fit into your uncle's Ford Fiesta for some backwoods fun.
Gives you a nice flat cooking surface, and you don't have to worry about your veggies falling into the dirt while you chop those suckers up.

As stated below, it's not the sturdiest table, but if you're on a relatively flat surface it'll be just fine.
This table is approx. 3 ft more convenient than the ground and highly suggested.

Not The Sturdiest But Definitely Awesome

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The table is great and can take a lot of weight but can be wobbly when pushed from the side. It's a must have when camping at places that don't have tables. I love it and would buy it again.

Great size!

I love the size of the table, holds lots of stuff, but it is a little short. I was hoping to use it to cook on but too much leaning over. It is really easy to put together and it fits into a bag like a camp chair. Really cool!

Light, Easy, Functional

This is a good little table. We use it much more than I thought I would. It is light, easy to setup and very functional. I can't imagine car camping without it now.

Although it is a bit flimsy, I would buy it again. Recommended!

Great lightweight camp table. I use this for car camping, river trips, and backyard barbecues. Takes a little thought to set it up the first time, after that it is cake...

The small size is a 28 x 28 square, 27 inches high, and the big one is a 32 x 32 square. Same height. For future reference, information like that can usually be found in the Tech Specs, as shown in the photo.

Stationary mobility

If you car camp, this is a must have.
Every time you camp you try to set up a log station to do all the cooking and preparation on, but it always turns out to be a hassle. Why not avoid the tipping over cups, and food sliding into the dirt and have a sleek, light weight, foldable table ready to go.
I love it and use it a lot more then I thought I would.

Great little table. We use it as a base for our camp stove. Very light and compact for storage and carry.

Great Lightweight Table

For the price and weight, this is definitely a nice table to take camping. It packs down pretty small and assembles quick. One gripe I have with it is that the support braces on the legs don't allow you to scoot your legs under the table. Other than that, it's pweety nice.

A great little table

If you want a light, small, packable table this is a great table. Will if blow over in a breeze if there is nothing on it? Sure, but that is because it is so light. If you want heavy, get a boat anchor.

Is it built like a brick $#%*house? No, again because it is so light and portable.

If you want a place to put your beer, or set a stove without putting them on the ground, this table will do the trick.

It's small and unstable. The legs are not adjustable and the table seems too short you have to bend over while doing any kind of work on it.

not just for camping

not just for camping

We planned on a camping trip- but I'm not a big fan of all day rains. So we helped our daughter with a little project and this table came in very handy! It easily held quite a bit of weight, assembled quick, cleaned in a snap. Now I really can't wait to take it camping.

Easy to use and portable

This is nice for what it is. It can be put together in less than a minute (once you know how it goes together), and it packs into a bag smaller than that for most folding chairs. It seems well-made, and provides a good, fairly small work surface (with slats, so writing on it could be a problem). Yes, it's light, but it seems fairly stable when you have something on the table (I haven't had problems with it blowing over). The design of the legs doesn't really allow you to pull a chair up to it. If you need a small, portable table (for car camping, tailgating or kids' sporting events) this one is worth consideration.

Good table

Good table. Has worked well for us. Only issue are the plastic nubs that hold the table top to the legs. They tend to be loose and make me worry about loosing one. With out the nubs the table top will not work that well. Otherwise good table for the price!!!!!

My husband and I got this table to use at a tailgate... It is the perfect size, light weight, and easy to pack. For the price it does it's job.

No Issues

This table has been on 6 trips so far w/o issue. It's light weight, easy to put together and stays in place. The build quality seems to be decent, but I do have concern that the plastic tabs that connect the top to the frame may snap off some day. It may not happen, but it seems likely give the design. For the price, it is a good value.

flimsy & worthless

I read a few nice reviews of this table (which I remain baffled by), and figured the aluminum would be a good surface for camping (no burn or melt & easy to clean). I unpacked and set it up. It was easy enough to figure out, but it did take a few minutes longer than I would have expected. But once set up (and set up properly mind you!), it is worthless. The table is so light, any breeze or sneeze would send it flying. It is so unsteady and floppy, I can't imagine placing anythying with weight or value upon it. I packed it back up and returned it without ever taking it out of the living room. I'll look for something else - maybe the wood/vinyl one from Orion

Killer table, killer price.

I've used this table quite a few times on car camping trips and I'm very pleased. It packs small (bag included) and sets up fast. The really nice detail is it's all aluminum, so you can cook on it, unlike vinyl roll-up tables, and it cleans up good as new. For the price it's comparable to tables twice the price. You know you want one!
