Riot gear for your shins.
If you've ever had a rock come off your front wheel and smack your shin, you know that falling isn't the only way to get injured while riding. The folks at Alpinestars know, too, which is why they equipped the Alps Kevlar Shin Guard with a Kevlar shell over the high-absorption foam zone–to stop that rock or tree branch cold, before it can do any damage.
The Alps Kevlar Shin Guard is highly flexible and breathable to make it as comfortable as possible. The thermo-formed impact foam comfortably cups your shin for a natural feel, while the advanced open mesh main body fabric forces cooling air to flow through the shin guard. The soft liner feels good against your skin and reduces chafing and irritation, and hook-and-loop fastening straps allow you to wear the guard as tight or as loose as you want to.
A tough Kevlar shell covers your shin bones. Under the Kevlar, high-impact foam absorbs the shock and disperses it over a broad area to limit the impact. The ripstop textile outer shell stands up to puncture and abrasion so your guards will live to fight another day. The stretch neoprene panel on the lower edge of the guard comfortably seals out debris, and hook-and-loop tabs at the top allow you to attach the guard to the Alpinestars Alps Kevlar knee guard.
The Alpinestars Alps Kevlar Shin Guard comes in two sizes: S/M and L/XL. It is available in Black.
