Description

Layering isn’t just for roadies.

Cold weather doesn’t mean the trails are closed, it just means you may need an extra layer. The Alpinestars All Mountain WR Pants gives you just the right amount of protection for those shoulder season rides.

The All Mountain WR pants are constructed from a synthetic fabric that breathes to keep you dry, while also being water-resistant. This means those light showers won’t have you running for cover, and early morning mist will have nothing on you. To help with articulation while pedaling, the pants are sewn with stretch panels at the sides. They are adjustable with side hook-and-loop closures to ensure a perfect fit, and while not considered baggy, they have enough room in the legs to comfortably accommodate knee pads. To keep you cool on those uphills, zippered side vents allow you to quickly dump heat. Alpinestars also included a zippered front pocket for keys, ID, or a bit of spare cash.

Worst pants ever

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Like the first reviewer says these pants have too low of a waist. I feel like I should get a tramp stamp to wear these. Totally uncomfortable because the distance from the crotch to the waist is way too short. I've got A-stars DH pants that I love. These are nothing like them fit wise. Don't waste your money.

Nice pants

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm smaller then the reviewers listed and didn't seem to have the same issues. I'm 5'10" with a 32 waist and mine fit great there durable I can pedal in them and they keep me warm on a winter ride I would buy them again

not happy. not usable for general riding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The cut/fit is atrocious. I can't imagine who these were designed for. Can't pedal in these at all. They bind horribly. The fit in the waist is fine, although they are a bit short in back (plumber's crack... just a bit). Way too tight in the thighs, which is the main problem. Too loose down at the ankles. There are some elastic panels, but not nearly enough to allow comfortable pedaling. I was constantly having to fiddle/fidget with these, tug up on them here/there; then I could pedal for a bit. then they'd shift a bit and they would bind again. They are warm. But they are not very breathable at all. Clammy/wet on inside from sweat. I'm actually pretty shocked at how bad these are. These are my first pair of long MTB pants. Perhaps their main customers are DH riders that don't have to pedal at all. But for more general riding in cold/wet weather I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Pleased With the Pants

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have only used these pants a couple of times but they feel good and keep me warm when riding, I wish the weather would turn colder so I can try them again as they are a little too warm above 55 or 60 degrees

A must read

Very nice features and materials, but the belt line is so low a had butt crack showing standing. Yes sounds funny. I am 6Ft tall with a 39" belt. Riding pants should cover even when you in the riding position. My return was handled very well. I am not sure if I will reorder only to have to return again. Sorry

Fits perfect

Good pockets and good ventilation. The only drawback is the waist elastic straps are not the best quality and if you put them in the dryer it will shorten the life of the elastic band. Best to hang dry.
