Alpine Aire's Mashed Potatoes and Gravy with Turkey is like a portable Thanksgiving, except it weighs about about 10,000% less and fits easily in your pack.

    Too Many Steps

This was very tasty, but there was too much work involved to make everything separately as suggested. I ended up just mixing the whole thing together, which was just as good. If you are looking for a gourmet meal out in the woods, this would qualify, but takes too much effort after you have packed into a place.

      Too Many Steps

      Turkey Day, Any Day

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I feasted on this after a long day down in Southern UT, and have to admit I was slightly skeptical. It tasted so good I ripped open the bag to get every last morsel. Give the turkey extra time to hydrate. I mixed the gravy in my mug and added it into the bag when it was ready. Easy to make, and minimal cleanup. Season with extra, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Surprisingly good!

      Good camp food

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Disclaimer: all my food reviews will be after I've been out in the middle of nowhere for a few days, mostly eating bars, so anything hot is going to be the best meal of my life.
I'd recommend letting it sit with hot water for an extra 5 minutes at least to make sure everything gets cooked.
