Fill up with AlpineAire's Creamy Potato Cheddar Soup. If you own a cookstove or even just a pot and some matches, these freeze dried and dehydrated meals are the way to go. They're lightweight, compact, and super easy to prepare. The meals are packaged in resealable foil pouches. Most weigh between 5 and 7 ounces and offer 2 servings. To prepare a meal, just add a couple cups of hot water right to the pouch. A few minutes later you're ready to chow.

Bottom Line: Perfect food for intense days.

Not a big fan

I wasn't too impressed with this stuff. It felt like i was eating gravy. There was plenty of it though. The taste wasn't too bad, I just deffinately think there are better meals out there.

Good Stuff

I do not find many of these freeze dried meals palatable, but I like this soup. I split each package into to separate meals and eat with saltines. It's my breakfast and dinner for short hikes. Plenty of sodium to replace what you sweated out during your hike.

Mmm... Soupy!

Pour the water in slowly or it will get clumpy. Otherwise, tastes great for what it is.

Mix with Some Veggies

Yeah mix this up with some freeze-dried veggies and presto! Dank eats. Salty is good on a long camping trip. So are starchy potato carbs. Eat up!

Not like mom used to make. But, hey, Mom wasn't on the trip. I would buy it again.
