The Alpina RS Skate Boot is fast on the snow, and its mid-volume fit is comfortable on your feet. The RS features Alpina's Active Skating Cuff, a two-component hard-plastic cuff that provides up to a 9% cant to keep your ski bases flat on the snow. This maximizes your glide and speed. A stiff sole and plastic heel work to transmit as much of your energy to the skating kick as possible, while the heel-retention strap eliminates any heel lift. Set the width to your heel once, and the RS Skate Boot is snugged to your foot for its lifetime. Cinch down the power strap for total control—the snug fit and hinged cuff work together to transfer maximum energy without hindering your movement. Alpina eliminated the speed-lace system at the request of pro skiers who couldn't afford to have their boots loosen during a race. Alpina even includes an anatomic footbed, which provides great absorption, quick wicking, and far more support than a stock bed. The Alpina RS Skate Boot is only compatible with NNN skate or touring bindings.
