BC 200L Touring Ski Boot - Women's

The Alpina Women's BC 200L Touring Ski Boot gives beginning backcountry skiers the comfort, warmth, and extra support that their recreational cross-country boots can't provide. NNN BC compatible soles work across a wide range of industry bindings, and have a great blend of toe flexibility and torsional stiffness for long days in the track and controlled downhill turns. Alpina uses Thinsulate synthetic insulation in this touring boot for lightweight warmth even in wet, soaked-through conditions, and you'll love the support of the women's-specific plastic heel counter when there are miles left to go before you set up camp. The BC 200L's traditional lacing and synthetic leather uppers lend an authentic feel while the flexible toe bumper endures the backcountry abuse that rec boots weren't designed to take.

Bottom Line: Make your first (and second and third…) tour more enjoyable in the BC 200L Touring Boot from Alpina

I am looking into getting cross country skiis, boots and poles. I love sports and would be using these to trek through parks for fitness mostly. Dont want to go crazy on money but want something that will stand up to my exercising and once in awhile/trip to the mountains.

If you'll be cutting your own trails, make sure you get a rugged boot like this one. It'll be heavier, but it'll keep your feet dry. If the parks have groomed trails, you could get a sleeker, lighter boot. You'll also want to figure out if you'll do classic or skate skiing, as that will affect boot type, ski type and length, and pole length. There are lots of reasonably priced options available for those getting into nordic skiing. Best of luck to you!

Comfy...

Comfy but not a ton of support. Fine for good ground and kick and glide but not that sweet on sidehills or hard snowmobile tracks. I expected a little more support from a BC boot but it is fine for what I want to do: kick around the neighborhood.

It's hard to say if these would feel like your old boots, but these are pretty decent for the price. This boot is compatible with the NNN binding system that it sounds like you're currently using.
