Took a chance - glad I did!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I took a chance on an unknown brand, and I'm very happy I did. First off, since size seems to be a big issue, I'm 5' 11", 165 and the medium is a perfect fit. With a good base and/or midlayer, this jacket is ideal. Keeps weather out, but bulk is at a minimum. As for length, it is just a little longer than most jackets, but not at all a problem. In fact, it's a great length. My previous jacket was large and bulky, and wind drag was an issue when mobbing a fast run. This coat eliminates that issue. Plenty of pockets (one chest inner and outer, plus to hand pockets and outer front pockets), plus the lower back pocket (not sure if I'll use that one), wrist gaiters and powder skirt. Love this jacket, and love the company philosophy.

Any chance you can elaborate on the inner and outer chest pocket? Is it media compatible? Any spot for a chord or is the pocket big enough for an iPhone? Thanks!

So... I'm like 5'11"-6' and about 235.... Not full on Fat Boy, but I've got a bit of a gut is what I'm saying, and I'm not Kareem tall either. I'm torn... L or XL? I don't mind it being a bit long/large, but I don't want it to look clownish.... thoughts?

Magellanator,

First things first: Nice username!

Secondly: To better help you with this, could you provide us with the following dimensions:

Chest:
Waist:
Inseam (Pant): This is too get an understanding for your approximate torso length.

Once we get those, we can factor in all that good data and help recommend one of the sizes. This is due to the patterning being a "lean and fit"

Thanks!

Great Jacket, Poor Logo Placement

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

5'9 160 lbs, small is perfect. Medium was somewhere between a blanket and an ankle length dress. Hood fits the helmet with room to spare and there are many, many pockets. The Logo on the pocket just ruins the look. I half expect that's why it's discounted so much. I very carefully undid the threading and removed the patch and it looks 100x cleaner. Much Much Much better.

The Size is wrong

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Great jacket, but way too big. I usually wear large, but the large on me looked like an XXL. Too bad.

Will this jacket keep me warm in below freezing temps? Looking for a good jacket for cold and stormy days

Best Answer Responded on

This jacket is a non-insulated snowboarding shell with great protection from the elements, providing a waterproof-breathable membrane to keep you dry and comfortable during wet and nasty weather. However, you will need to layer an insulating piece under this jacket in order to stay warm in below freezing temps, since this jacket does not have any additional insulation, though the hardshell fabric will trap in some amount of body heat naturally.

The Fit is where this jacket excels

This is an awesome coat when your arms are stretched out the sleeves stay right with you. Bending over the coat is long enough so you crack doesn't stick out. Plenty of pockets the description doesn't tell you but there is 5 more pockets than said to be. One larger one on the side/back that can hold larger items like a beverage. Two interior pockets one is mesh and is big enough to hold your goggles other is a zippered and is big enough to hold your wallet and cellphone. The powder skirt has a clear pass holder as well if you don't want to keep it on your chest on that pocket. The hood isn't obstructive at all when its zipped up and on and stays in place which is a very nice feature. The Velcro is very strong and covers the front main zipper very well no worries of water slipping in there. The two main bottom pockets are actual quad pockets put your hand in from the sides and store items through the top. Im 6'0 185lbs with a 40" chest and i ordered an medium and a large and the large felt like a blanket on me the medium was perfect and will allow me plenty of room for layers if need be.

Huge!!!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large

I'm 6'3"/200 lbs, ordered a L. Exchanged for a M today. This jacket is mammoth. Emo kids beware, G Funks this is your new favorite jacket. The fit is definitely long, not sure about the lean part. The L looked like a baggy skirt on me. I'll update review when I receive the M with pics. I'd say size down for sure.

Hi guys,
I'm 5,6 -146 lb, what could be the right size for me? S or M? Thanks

Responded on

Hey Andrea, hmm you're right in between a small and medium. A medium will probably be more comfortable.. if you don't mind having a slightly baggy jacket, I think the medium will be best.

Incredible Jacket

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If you are looking for a longer/slimmer fit jacket, with 20K waterproofing look no further. Travis Parker did it right here. This jacket has plenty of pockets and zips. It also has hand gaiters. In addition, the fabric is lighter weight and moves well with your body.

I am 5'11", 155lbs and I found the medium to be perfect.

**Note this jacket is much longer than most.

Responded on

The medium works for you? I am 5 11 also but always wear large shirt and coats. I usually find the arm length to be a problem. now im in a dilemma. large or medium

Responded on

This is the first jacket I've bought in medium in probably the past 5 years. Normally wear large shirts / hoodies etc. It really does a fit long everywhere.
