Wool warmthiness

Comfy, good as foundation for cold, active days, also ideal pajamas for cold nights. Fabric is midweight, soft. Zippers convenient and it all works out as you'd want it to. Full coverage of neck area feels like you're covered in wool warmthiness. I'm 6'1", 214 lbs., 42 chest, broad shoulders, XL is generous torso length by 2-3 inches. Elsewhere the fit is fine, not baggy. Fabric is stretchy so I could have probably sized down to an L for better torso length fit, but I wanted to avoid the dreaded crotch-shoulder squeeze.

This is my second Airblaster Merino Wool Ninja Suit. The first one I had lasted 3 seasons after it finally died from a particularly bad crash that shredded fabric around my butt (big jump air chair). The ninja suit is my absolute favorite snowboarding tool. It has a very versatile design that is only limited by how warm it gets. If you have a water/windproof kit you will not have problems with warmth in cold temps. great ventilation due to the full chest zipper keeps you cool on hot days. You aren't going to get too hot until the 60f+. I own 2 traditional ninja suits and one Merino one, and the Merino wool is warmer and better at wicking moisture. Most of the time, I wear just this under an insulated jacket and the Backcountry Cottonwood Bib and that's it. I personally never have problems with warmth with this setup unless it's below 0F temps. On warm spring days, I wear this w/ the bibs and a hoodie and I'm still cool. As long as you measure and get the right size I think you will love it. If you try to go too small it makes the hip zipper access a little bad for "business".

I purchased two of the polyester blend ninja suits... and while I loved them enough to buy two.. The wool suit is in my opinion better. It has a better feel initially it was ever so slightly itchy but that went away and I just get a snug warmth. It?s also more breathable as the polyester version has me stinking a lil even with deodorant which is weird. I prefer wool for its antimicrobial properties and breathable nature. Wool for any outdoor clothing is superior. I wear smart wool socks in the summer for hikes and compared to a Nike cotton sock it is still fluffy and my feet aren?t drenched at 3 mile mark on a nice 85 degree Kentucky day. Idk price is definitely steeper but I?d say worth it.
