Effective, DEET-free protection in a convenient bottle size.

Protect yourself and others in your group from biting insects, ticks, and insect-transmitted diseases with the Adventure Medical 3.4oz Natrapel Pump Spray. This DEET-free repellent fends off insects with a 20% concentration of Picaridin, which is the amount recommended by the CDC to guard against insect-transmitted diseases. It provides eight hours of protection, and is clinically proven to perform as well as, or better than, DEET-based products. Compared to DEET-based products, Natrapel is safer on gear, smells better, and won't cause adverse reactions. The 3.4-ounce bottle size is large enough for bigger groups or extended trips, and small enough to be allowed in your carry-on if you're traveling by plane.

    Pretty good for natural

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Out of all the natural bug sprays I've used this one is definitely the best. Nothing compares to Deet of course in the way of mosquito protection, but who wants that stuff all over them. This stuff definitely doesn't last 8 hours and it doesn't deter all the airborne tiny critters but in the grand scheme of things it does a damn good job. Smells nice, doesn't leave me feeling greasy, and keeps the insects away for the most part. Looking for bug spray? Look no further.

    PNW approved

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just took a trip that involved rain forests, alpine lakes, and a warm/humid music festival in farm fields of the PNW. There were tons of skeeters and flies of all sort. This stuff worked great! It didn't smell unpleasant either. I sprayed and rubbed to apply and it spread well. It lasted for advertised amount of time (less when sweating). Such a great alternative to heavy DEET if you aren't in the tropics.
