The Adventure 16 Bug Bivy lets you star gaze, read, and, sleep, without having to swat away gnats and skeeters. This anti-bug netting is ideal for hot nights or when you just want to breathe fresh air and look up at the stars, without mosquitoes buzzing in your ears. Flexible wire keeps the netting away from your face and gives you room to move. Bivy tucks under your sleeping bag to keep creepy crawlies away too.

Bottom Line: Keep bugs off your face and the stars in your eyes.

Great for the steady sleeper

By:
July 18, 2005

I used the bug bivy in the heat of Central Texas on a backpacking trip to Enchanted Rock. It worked fine; however, the bugs weren't that bad and I sleep pretty steady on my back. If you toss and turn it may not be a good "fit" for you.

Bub Bivy: Great product

This is a well made net with a fine mesh suitable to keep mosquitoes out! It is impervious to permethrine, so spray away before your trip. Loved the pop-up compact design for easy stow in the backpack.

easy to use

By:

I got it for my daughter's girl scout camp and she said it was easy to use and very light to carry. Pricier than the regular tent like mosquito net, but you don't have to worry about where to tie it on.

Bug Bivy double as external storage

By:
September 9, 2004

Found that the bag the bug bivy came in had a nice collection of loops to strap it on my backpack and was Just the right thing to hold my pack cover and rain gear. I also carry a sketch pad for those artistic moments and it's big enough for my paper pad to stay flat.
