Any idea how you keep the speed lacing system from coming loose all the time?

very supportive with heavy winter pack, but suprisingly nimble for a big, winter boot. No blisters after a 9 mile hike up Mt. Tallac, south lake tahoe. feet stayed warm and dry through snow, ice and slush. a bit heavy, but very warm. big fan of the speed lacing - much like Soloman trail runners. lugs are a bit unusual-looking but pretty good traction.
great boot if they fit you

I really wanted these boots for snowshoeing and winter hiking. The reviews were great and the boots have some really cool features. Unfortunately I couldn't wear them for more than 15 minutes in my house. The toebox is roomy, but the forefoot seems to crush the top of my feet. I even tried 2 sizes up from normal and had to return both. I tried different socks and a different footbed too. I really wanted them to work for me, but they just didn't. If you have flat feet this is the boot for you.
Great features....naggy fit

Really loved the look and foot comfort of this boot. The zipper lace cover is good and the traction is great. Super easy to slip on and off. However, I work in the snow, and do a lot of walking/running and after a day my upper left leg was aching. Tried for a week to "break" in but still ached. Right leg was fine...not sure if just design flaw or something. Warm boot however...maybe just not right fit for me.

I generally use size 10-11 in other shoes. I ordered a 10 and they fit me great.

I wear 9-9.5 in most shoes and 10 in most boots. My Adidas Sambas are size 9 but a size ten in these are a perfect fit.

Inventory questions can tend to languish here. Your best bet will be to click on the "Chat Now" link at the top of the page to get in touch with a BC rep. Best of luck!

freemanjon,
This boot is sold out for the remainder of the year. Addidas didn't anticipate its success very well, so they didn't make enough. Look for this and many more insulated styles from Adidas next year. If you're looking for something comparable for this season, I would check out the insulated styles from Salomon.

Would recommend to anyone. I haven't worn them in snow/winter conditions yet. All I can say is that they held up well in wet/swampy conditions.
If you have any questions let me know!

Jordon, the heel counter on this boot helps you kick them off after coming in from the snow.

Yes you can use crampons with this boot. Not pro versions as there is no front toe welt. But you can use clips or strap crampons and they work great.
I have a pair od black diamonds on mine and use them for glacier treks and even climbing - although not any vertical ice - although I'm tempted to try.
