Boats N Shoes

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs large

These are fantastic shoes!

I really wanted some water shoes that weren't nerdy-looking and these fit the bill. They do run large, I usually wear 6.5, sometimes 7. I got these shoes in a 6. I tried on the 6.5 first and they were pretty loose, I figured those would slip right off in the river.

I used these for my summer class, a river camping trip. You people, my school is awesome, okay? This class was required for my major :) Anyways, I lived in these shoes for 3 days. They did not need to be broken in, they were comfortable from the start.

I love how the water drains out. My only issue is that the river was really silty at the time I went, so a lot of silt ended up in my shoes and got trapped. Some neoprene socks would have helped with that!

These shoes dry fast as long as they're in the sun. They were still a little damp when I woke up in the mornings when camping along the river, but that's probably because I left them outside the tent overnight.

These shoes are great for walking around in the river, scouting along the river, and even on small hikes.

I used them for my whitewater kayaking class as well (yet another awesome class at my school). I did have to do a wet exit once and the shoes stayed on.

Overall, I am really happy with these shoes, they are really cute, comfortable, and get the job done.

I wear them everywhere. Easy to slip on. Comfortable. Great shoes for bare footing. They fit me perfectly. I bought my regular shoe size.

The Shoe of Your Summer Adventure

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I love these shoes. My female friends love these shoes. I get compliments whenever I wear them out but there shoes aren't just very aesthetically pleasing they're ridiculously practical. The drainage system means they're ideal for boating and floating rivers. The sticky sole is great for climbing trees and general rambunctiousness. I'm curious how the mesh section on the sole will hold up to non-water use. Maybe I should buy a second pair now.. Anyway, order these shoes a half size smaller than your usual shoe size if you are using them for watersports since the large mouth will make it prone to slipping off in the water. That might make the fit a tiny bit tight, but trust me, after trying on the 8, 7.5 and 7 I'm confident you will want to size down. I usually wear a 7.5 in street shoes and I ordered the 7. My foot is 9.8 inches long.

Great Shoes

I bought these water shoes for my wife because she really needed a new pair and she liked the style of these. What we found out that was cool about them was that they have a sole to the shoe that allows water to escape out the bottom and when you walk it actually acts like a pump pushing the water out. She loves them and they dry super fast.

Cute shoe

I bought these shoes for camping in the BWCA, there is a lot of canoeing, portaging and walking in water, as well as taking "baths" in the lakes. I wanted a sturdy shoe to protect my feet from rocks as well as dry quickly once I come out of the water. I haven't used them yet, just received them today, but they seem like they'll do the trick! And they are really cute! They do seem a little big, my heel slips a tiny bit, but if I were to get a 1/2 size smaller, I think my toes would be cramped. Seems like if I tighten the laces a little more they fit fine. Not a ton of cushion on the bottoms, but they don't seem too bad.

    Nice, not perfect

These are very cute! They are low-cut like boat shoes, not like sneakers. They run very large - I returned mine because they felt loose dry, and would definitely slip off when wet. There is a hard rubber part on the tongue, but when I adjusted it it didn't rub.
