The Adidas adiStar Tech Short brings anatomically-mapped performance to the trail with Formotion technology and stretch materials. Nope, we didn’t say spandex; as you can see they aren’t tight. Formotion simply analyzes body motion and structure to eliminate binding on long rides. Adidas’ stretch Race 2D chamois floats in the mesh liner to protect the boys and keep you virile.

Bottom Line: Toss the cutoffs, hippie. Time for some real shorts.

How's the quality? How do they compare to a Pearl Izumi in the same price catgory? Any chance you'll carry them in a Medium size?

I love Pearl Izumi but I also have a couple of Adidas shirts and shorts and they are great quality. Never had a problem with stitching or zippers. Back Country has an unlimited lifetime warranty so you've got nothing to lose.

Perfect shell. Liner too short on both ends

I can only recommend the shell of these shorts. For the price on CL the liner could actually be worth it if you already have a serviceable liner. The liner on the other hand I cannot recommend. What's the story here adidas? You made a nice short here and then stopped about 2-3 inches too short on both ends of the liner, rendering them useless as a unit. But on the plus size, now I know how girls at the club in super low cut jeans feel.
