This firefly is intended for rugged, real world applications. I could immediately see the unit was well built and functional. The slide switch operation is smooth with a detent you can feel, so the light is easy to operate. It comes with a long strip of velcro for mounting. I have mine on a Force six instructors PFD. I saw strobes for as little as twenty dollars when looking for one. I called ACR and talked to them about their light and the choice was obvious. Good luck/ stay safe. Dean Conner-Gastonia NC
