Been climbing for the last 13 years and hoping for another 30. I've done it all from the smallest boulders to the biggest walls. Lately I've been ski touring a ton for fitness and as a means to soak up the good tidings of the mountains all year long.

I used to be a road bike racer but I moved to Utah and realized it is better to be mediocre at everything here than good at one thing - so I still bike (mostly dirt) but now spend my time climbing, fishing, trail running, hiking, skiing and backpacking. If it slides on snow - I do it - no discrimination for one or two planks, free or fixed heel, hike or ride a lift. At Backcountry, I'm the product manager for community and I'm always excited to hear your thoughts about how we can improve the experience on this site.

I grew up in the mountains of Utah and Colorado, and have found myself unable to leave it. During the winter when not in school, I am all in skiing. I have been telemarking for 11 years now, and won't be stopping any time soon! I enjoy mostly Big Mountain, BC, and park. Outside of skiing, I also dig rock climbing, whitewater paddling, paddleboarding, camping, hiking- pretty much anything outdoors. I love getting out with my boyfriend, and our year-old Newfie, Camber.

Born in Montana. Grew up in Colorado. And now Utah is home. Guess you can safely assume I'm a mountain girl. In the summer you can find me on Flathead Lake waterskiing and wakeboarding. I attempted three winters in Northwest MT but got sick of skiing in the fog and slush and moved back to a state with powder! I spend all my free time in the mountains and rivers of Utah. My two favorite pastimes are fly fishing and snowboarding. I also hike, camp, bike, trail run, and various other outdoor activities. Growing up snowboarding in Maine I spent most of my time in the park. Still love park riding, but nothing beats the pow. In between storms I like to find some fresh snow on my splitboard. As far as fly fishing, I love it all. Trout, bass, carp, rivers, streams, still water. From throwing size 24 midge dries to chucking size 1 articulated streamers.

I moved here from Michigan in August 2010 for the "worlds greatest snow" It's a lot better then Michigan's lake effect I know that for sure. I love to get outdoors as much as possible. I camp, hike, fish, backpack and canoe a lot. If I had to rank my seasons, winter and fall would be at the top. There is nothing like snow and nothing like the smell of Autumn to let you know the snow is right around the corner. I use to play a lot of golf but the life of a board bum and my addiction to sweet gear doesn't leave a lot of funds to play much as of late. I love a good pizza so if you have any recommendations please let me know. I spent a year in Steamboat Springs CO. and if your ever there check out Gnarly Charlie's pizza in the Gondola circle. It's GOOD. I have a English Shepherd/Border Collie mix named Lucky and to offset the name Lucky I have an all black cat named Philly. "I like to think of myself as a person that you need to keep your eye on or I'll wander off into the forest and forget to come back." I'm a hero to some and a savior to the rest. Some people say that I think to highly of myself but that was before I melted their pants with the heat that radiates from my plethora of accomplishments. I enjoy backpacking/hiking and fantasize about crashing in a plane in Siberia where I'll spectacularly survive and my sole motivation will be returning to my heartbroken wife. I like climbing but that doesn't mean I'm very good at it. Bouldering and sport are my forte's. I trail run as often as I can but saving the world on a daily basis usually interferes with that plan. I also dabble in cycling, ice climbing and skiing but know almost nothing about them. One day I'm going to find definitive proof that Sasquatch exists (not like those hillbillies from the history channel, but real substantial evidence). To those who have struggled with them, the mountains reveal beauties that they will not disclose to those who make no effort. That is the reward the mountains give to effort. And it is because they have so much to give and give it so lavishly to those who will wrestle with them that men love the mountains and go back to them again and again. The mountains reserve their choice gifts for those who stand upon their summits. -Sir Francis Younghusband

Hi, my name is Lance. I enjoy spending time with all my cats, collecting rare and valuable coins, and recording television specials on PBS while I'm gearheading at work. If skiing were a woman, I'd marry her within two blinks from a coal-miner's eye. My only friend and I enjoy riding the T bar up the bunny hill and shouting words like "Whoo!" on our way down. I'm a firm believer that God made snow capped mountains for skiers. Snowboarders are dangerous because they're just missiles. They destroy our moguls and corduroy and are still disrespectful. Snowboarders are hooligans and need to say off my bunnyhill. I love my bunnyhill.

Born in the thriving metropolis of Ogden, Utah Jonny "A" Atencio is no stranger to the mountains. Once, in Idaho, he caught a wild steelhead with a piece of dental floss and a strip of bacon- He befriended the steelhead and then trained it to hunt down and retrieve smaller fish for his sustenance. He has been sighted in more than one VIP lounge, sprawled out on the couch, PBR in hand- even though they were only serving Belvedere and Cristal His training regime is extreme: some say, a bit too extreme, in fact, it is often referred to in all caps. EXTREME. Using only a can of Adobe sauce, some fresh garlic cloves, a pork roast and a book of matches, he made an award winning Barbacoa Pork that was on the Today show- Al Roaker really enjoyed it. As you can see, his beard is a mix between weak and not so good- He has worked for the Secret Service, the FBI, and Interpool at the same time, from a remote location- it got to be too crazy for him He has 4 pairs of Blundstone's, and rotates between them weekly. People think he has dozens of them. He is addicted to Green Chile. He is American.

I'm an artist, a vegan, and obsessed with being outside in any way possible, be it on a snowboard, a bike, or my own two feet (climbing, hiking, camping) and always interested in finding new ways to enjoy nature.
