The Smarty's shell uses 686's Infidry 15K membrane and fully taped seams to beat winter storms. The nylon taffeta lining feels smooth, zippered thigh vents allow you to dump heat in a hurry, and adjustable hook-and-loop waist adjustments allow you to customize the fit. The removable liner pant's super-soft midweight microfleece can also be worn without the shell pant for just hanging out at the house. 686 hooked up the Smarty with other cool features, too—like the large cargo pockets and lower leg reinforced kick patches to protect the legs from sharp ski edges.
