The Whole Shabang

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I just got this jacket in Black, and it is dope. I picked it up because I love the 686 stuff and this seemed to be the warmest/driest/best looking for the amount of money I wanted to spend. So far I've had few great, early season days on it that have been amazing. This jacket is confirmed to keep you warm and dry. I'm talkin' t-shirt under the jacket when its 30 degrees out warm. A big selling point on this jacket for me was 80/40 poly-fill. This means theres 80g fill in the body and 40g on the sleeves for mobility. I have become wary of uber puffy jackets as well as down jackets. I spend a good portion of my winter in the Northwest, where even if its not snowing its wet. So for cold days up there down isn't really the best option because of moisture, how ever the poly fill jackets seam to be able hold their loft alot better than the down - so i'm stoked for this guy. Warmth is a big concern for me as I like to night ride a lot. So, another plus for this jacket is the cut. Its a little bit baggier than some other 686 Reserved stuff I have owned, this allows for tons of layering without a loss in mobility.

I wouldn't have bought this jacket if it didn't come with all the standards: wrist gaiters, powder skirts, good pockets, pass holder, this thing has the whole sha-bang. I'm 5'10" and wear a medium in this jacket and fits like a glove.

P.S. the front pockets a very warm and cozy if your mitts arn't quite doing the trick for ya
