Cabin living and powder riding are all you've ever wanted. But finding a mountain-chic jacket that can handle your lumber-jacking-cougar-wrestling-mountain-shredding lifestyle can be tough. That's where the The 686 Men's Reserved Axxe Insulated Jacket steps in. Available in the season's hottest colors, this jacket is the must have piece for any fashion-forward woodsman.

Mountain rain and massive snowflakes won't ruin your peaceful moose ride through the timbers thanks to the Infidry-10 breathable waterproofing. Your bear cub still isn't house broke, so evening bear walks are important to prevent accidents. Bundle up with 120g/80g polyester insulation next time you take little Bart out for a night stroll. Getting clean in the winter is a whole deal, most of the streams are dry and the pond is frozen over. Air-Flo underarm vents and Smooth-Operator mesh gussets let cool air in and hot, sweaty air out stopping man-funk before it starts. Beards should be used as face trophies and not for stashing things―zippered hand pockets, button-flap chest pockets, a hidden pass holder, and internal media and mesh pockets hold your stuff so your beard is free to be a monument to your manliness and not a junk drawer. And a Sherpa fleece-lined hood, one-inch drop tail hem, diamond-quilted lining, and plaid print will make people wonder if you're a mountain man or a movie star.

I have had other jackets and this thing rules! It is warm and durable. I wore this all season long and put this jacket through it all. It kept me cool and dry on warm days, and warm and dry on freezing days. Blocks the wind! The hood has like a sherpa lining and man does that feel nice! I had never had a 686 jacket until now. And now I would buy another one if this thing ever falls apart. It's a baggy jacket and I love it! I got that blue plaid and you stand out in this jacket! It looks awesome and feels great. Lots of pockets and a powder skirt. Inside phone/mp3 player pocket and easy to get to with gloves on.

What??? How can I rate it FKN awesome, we'll read up boys and girls.

I've been riding for over 25 years and bought a lot of crap from other manufactures. Let me tell you 686 is the bomb. My chit doesn't leak, I'm dry and when I was riding in -10 on whistler I was flipen warm. In my opinion 686 is the best damn manufacturer of snowboard clothes. My new jacket , Flipen rocks!!!!!

Sherpa hood feels like I got baby polar bears keeping me warm. Who doesn't want baby polar bears keeping them warm? Don't listen to your buddy that only buys burton because his buddy told him to. He doesn't know chit. Quicksilver clothes, HA HA HA . Only posers wear quicksilver.

Are you a poser? NO .....I didn't think so. We'll get your azz buying what the true storm riders wear. 686 RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing I noticed was the amazingly soft sherpa fleece lined hood. My friend felt it and says it feels like "baby polar bear fur." I guess I'll take his word for it. It is SO soft and warm. I want a blanket made out of it. Great storage as well. So many pockets!! Very nice for carrying around random things. Jacket fits very well. Kept me nice and warm. I seriously cannot get over how much I love this hood liner... it's a problem. If I could detach this hood and just wear it around as a hat, I would.

Lumber Jack style, BC guide function.

I wear flannel on a daily basis, so naturally i'll be buying a flannel inspired snowboard jacket. I chose the 686 flannel over some of the other for various reasons. Mainly because of the 120 polyfill paired with 10k waterproofing, also I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stoked to see Forest Bailey wearing it.

Basically I'm fed up with being cold as shit on the hill. So i dropped in this Poly-fill jacket. Why Poly-fill? because it stays warm even if it gets wet, unlike down. On top that it is rated at 8k breathability which is rarity if you look at other jackets with similar insulation. This jacket is awesome because now instead of wearing four layers under my jacket I can just wear one thin underlayer and be fine on most days. It has 686's all access fit, so if you do need to layer up theres plenty of room to do so before you start feeling like the michelin man.

I am also a huge fan of the sherpa lined hood. Super warm in all conditions and it looks flo$$y. I've worn this jacket on 20 degree pow-days with just t-shirt under it - while thats not advisable, it works! I've also worn this jacket to the bar and gotten multiple compliments. So - whether it be slaying lines in the BC or slaying night life in the city this jacket has killed it for me.

Other things that are rad: wrist gators, pit-zips, snap-away pow skirt, pockets. Im stoked.
