Equipped to battle fierce snowstorms without sacrificing street style, the 686 Men's Parklan Field Insulated Jacket blends the best of mountain-ready protection with urban-inspired aesthetics. Bright colors and modern prints keep the jacket's outer appearance fresh, with a "Trippin" quilted taffeta lining for far-out style. Other urban-friendly features include an Innie Outie Smartphone pocket with cord routing, as well as removable hood for a sleek, streamlined look.
60g Polyfill insulation keeps you toasty in sub-freezing conditions without the bulk of heavier insulated jackets. Air-Flo chest and thigh vents disperse built-up water vapor when you're sweating under tiring circumstances, such as shoveling a new run-in-to-rail section or hiking for a fresh line.
Sealing out winter's nasty onslaught of frozen precipitation, the jacket's infiDRY 15 membrane/laminate keeps your upper body pleasantly dry, regardless of Mother Nature's fickle nature. Toss in fully taped seams for a jacket that's a near-impenetrable fortress against the wet-and-frozen elements lurking on the streets and mountains.

The Field jacket is military inspired so it works on an off the mountain really well. More waterproof and warmer then you'd expect for a canvas fabric. The Field Jacket rates a 7 on a 10 heat scale, keep you warm down to 0 degrees. My favorite features on The Field Jacket are the removable hood, and zippered Back Vent. The mesh lined vent across the back of the jacket is great for dumping heat while hiking.
