The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt—we doubt that a better example of form-and-function has ever existed.

The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt has your back when your bindings flail. Don't miss your well-deserved freshies because your binding is sliding around. The Toolbelt's integrated #2 Phillips and #2 flathead screwdrivers, and 1/2, 9/16, and 3/8-inch wrenches help you rectify any on-snow mechanical inconvenience. Why worry about pocketing extra tools? If you're wearing pants and you hold them up with the Original Snowboard Belt, you're set for anything.

    great belt

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs small
    • Size Bought: large

this is a great tool to have with you, when your snowboarding, working, or just any time. if you ever need to make a quick fix this is a life saver!
the only complain i have with this belt is it runs a little bit small. so i am wear a 32 and purchased the large (which says it s a 34-38) and i am wearing it at the 3rd spot. so if getting one buy the next size bigger.

    It's a belt

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size

Great for holding up your trousers! I am a Maintenance Mechanic at a hospital, and i have actually used the tools in a pinch! People are shocked when you say "I have just the tool for that..." and start unfastening your belt, but they soon are amazed when you start adjusting their shower head!
The black coating comes off of the tool tips, and the brown leather starts to show through with wear. I'm thoroughly satisfied, and I've worn mine just about every day for over a year.

    Amazing quality, never quits working

Been using the same belt every day since 2010, its been to 6 countries, and through all kinds of weather and amazing abuse and still hasn't given up. The only thing that i would say is sub par is that the can opener feature is a bit weird because its facing the wrong direction, but other than that, its ideal. I do quite a lot of traveling, and they even let this through airport security. Honestly, can't express how good of a buy it is, probably the last belt you'll ever need for at least 10 years. Last thing about sizing, when I got it back in 2010 sizing ran LARGE by one size, so if you're wearing a medium, you should order a small.

Hold up your flair and your pants

This belt is awesome, the tools integrated into the design provide you a quick access solution to wiggly bindings. If you find that your ride is slipping just unstrap, pull your belt off( keep your pants on buddy! ) and quickly get those suckers tightened up and ready to roll. The bottle opener is especially helpful, and the hard metal feels solid and sturdy, no need to stress about a flimsy gimmick this is the real deal!

    What's Not To Love?

I originally bought this belt in 2001 in black. That belt got confiscated at the airport 3 years later, sad day. I bought another one as soon as I could and I have kept the same buckle for the past 8 years going through about three replacement belts of differing qualities. I wish 686 would sell replacement leather that fits the buckle, because the buckle will never wear out and never goes out of style, cause it is a style all its own. I will probably wear this useful buckle far past the days I hit the mountain.

      Very Cool & Very Useful

Sorry to say that I don't snowboard, but this belt makes the average guy into MacGyver.

First of all, the belt is attractive and high quality (i went with the brown but might get the black one, too)
And the tool buckle is well made and does actually work. Within the first week I had already used the Phillips head 2 times to the amazement of my friends.

Get it. Just for the novelty alone its worth it...but then it really its a home run.

        Scout's motto:

Be prepared, right? I love this belt for its style but also for fucntion. Gone are the days of desperately looking for a screw driver or bottle opener while on the mountain. I wouldn't recommend this as a fix-all, but it does give a little peace of mind when a buckle or strap comes loose miles away from anything. The leather is very durable and wont disappoint. Get one and be happy.

My buddy has this belt and i have witnessed its practicality on the slopes. His binding came loose at the top of the mountain, which would have otherwise screwed our day. But he whips off the belt, goes to work, and five minutes later we were a go. I always thought it was mostly the cool factor before that, but this thing really is useful!

            Macgyver owned one.

This belt is the best belt I have ever owned. The leather is super strong and even when wet it stays the same size with very little stretch even when wearing the belt on you ass. I have never worn pants on my hips so I have been through my share of belts. But this on is still rocking it strong. The only down side is it smells like leather, I mean like you just walked into a Harley Davidson convention. So bad I had to keep away from everything or it would smell just like the belt. Small price to pay for the best belt in the world!

              BUY IT NOW

Hands down the best belt, i've ever owned, and IF it every breaks I'm going to buy the exact same belt. It's perfect for any snowboarder, need to adjust your setup while on the mountain? Just pullover and take off the buckle and get to work. Then once you're done shredding, crack open a few beers with the bottle opener. In other words, this belt helps creating the perfect day!!

They should have just called it the awesome belt!

i finally bought my second one. i had the black one and i wore it pretty much everyday (skiing, biking, living) for about 5 years and it's still going strong, but the leather had stretched out a bit. so i bought the white one and it's just as awesome, maybe better! 686 is the bees knees!

great belt but discription is a tad off.

1/2, 9/16, 3/8 wrench sizes are not correct. I was kind of disappointed and almost returned my belt as I wanted it to be in inches, like the skate belt. It actually is 11mm 10mm and 8mm metric wrenched if I remember correctly. It even stated metric on the 686 website and that is why I ordered from backcountry rather than elsewhere because I wanted it in inches. The only reason I kept the belt is I really like 2 prong belts rather than 1 prong like the 686 skate belt. Though if I was to do it again I would just order the 686 skate belt. It would be awesome if I could just get the belt loop wrench from the skate belt so I could use it with my 2 prong belt then I would be a super happy camper with the perfect belt.

This is the belt Chuck Norris wears with his

First the buckle with the tools is awesome, but the leather for the belt is cheap and weak. I would love to give this a higher rating but the quality of the leather is just to poor. I would definitly get another one but will change out the leather. I wear a 32 pant and the large size fits great.

Is the buckle color silver or gun-metal on the black belts?

I see it looks like silver on some photos people posted but it looks darker in the official image.
