The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt—we doubt that a better example of form-and-function has ever existed.

The 686 Original Snow Toolbelt has your back when your bindings flail. Don't miss your well-deserved freshies because your binding is sliding around. The Toolbelt's integrated #2 Phillips and #2 flathead screwdrivers, and 1/2, 9/16, and 3/8-inch wrenches help you rectify any on-snow mechanical inconvenience. Why worry about pocketing extra tools? If you're wearing pants and you hold them up with the Original Snowboard Belt, you're set for anything.

Service was great! Belt got here in a timely manner. My bf absolutely loves the belt! This one I got for him was a replacement. The one he had prior lasted forever. so if you want a hefty belt, this is a great one!

I originally bought this belt in 2001 in black. That belt got confiscated at the airport 3 years later, sad day. I bought another one as soon as I could and I have kept the same buckle for the past 8 years going through about three replacement belts of differing qualities. I wish 686 would sell replacement leather that fits the buckle, because the buckle will never wear out and never goes out of style, cause it is a style all its own. I will probably wear this useful buckle far past the days I hit the mountain.

Sorry to say that I don't snowboard, but this belt makes the average guy into MacGyver.

First of all, the belt is attractive and high quality (i went with the brown but might get the black one, too)
And the tool buckle is well made and does actually work. Within the first week I had already used the Phillips head 2 times to the amazement of my friends.

Get it. Just for the novelty alone its worth it...but then it really works....so its a home run.

This belt is fantastic. It's interesting, useful, comfortable, looks good, and makes me feel like Batman when I wear it. The only downside? There's no place to hold the Batarangs. Buy this belt.

Be prepared, right? I love this belt for its style but also for fucntion. Gone are the days of desperately looking for a screw driver or bottle opener while on the mountain. I wouldn't recommend this as a fix-all, but it does give a little peace of mind when a buckle or strap comes loose miles away from anything. The leather is very durable and wont disappoint. Get one and be happy.

My buddy has this belt and i have witnessed its practicality on the slopes. His binding came loose at the top of the mountain, which would have otherwise screwed our day. But he whips off the belt, goes to work, and five minutes later we were a go. I always thought it was mostly the cool factor before that, but this thing really is useful!

This belt is the best belt I have ever owned. The leather is super strong and even when wet it stays the same size with very little stretch even when wearing the belt on you ass. I have never worn pants on my hips so I have been through my share of belts. But this on is still rocking it strong. The only down side is it smells like leather, I mean like you just walked into a Harley Davidson convention. So bad I had to keep away from everything or it would smell just like the belt. Small price to pay for the best belt in the world!

Hands down the best belt, i've ever owned, and IF it every breaks I'm going to buy the exact same belt. It's perfect for any snowboarder, need to adjust your setup while on the mountain? Just pullover and take off the buckle and get to work. Then once you're done shredding, crack open a few beers with the bottle opener. In other words, this belt helps creating the perfect day!!

i finally bought my second one. i had the black one and i wore it pretty much everyday (skiing, biking, living) for about 5 years and it's still going strong, but the leather had stretched out a bit. so i bought the white one and it's just as awesome, maybe better! 686 is the bees knees!

1/2, 9/16, 3/8 wrench sizes are not correct. I was kind of disappointed and almost returned my belt as I wanted it to be in inches, like the skate belt. It actually is 11mm 10mm and 8mm metric wrenched if I remember correctly. It even stated metric on the 686 website and that is why I ordered from backcountry rather than elsewhere because I wanted it in inches. The only reason I kept the belt is I really like 2 prong belts rather than 1 prong like the 686 skate belt. Though if I was to do it again I would just order the 686 skate belt. It would be awesome if I could just get the belt loop wrench from the skate belt so I could use it with my 2 prong belt then I would be a super happy camper with the perfect belt.

First the buckle with the tools is awesome, but the leather for the belt is cheap and weak. I would love to give this a higher rating but the quality of the leather is just to poor. I would definitly get another one but will change out the leather. I wear a 32 pant and the large size fits great.

Listen, the whole deal with this belt is the cool factor. The tools are beyond practical & the 1st time i usesd the bottle opener I spilled a Long Trail ale down the front of my pants. But the belt is cool & holds up my ski pants. Probably shoulda gotten the studded 1 though.

I found this to be a cool idea, but not very practical. It is awkward to take off your belt every time you need to use the tools. I would much rather have them separated.

Hope that helps.

I like this belt a lot. It pretty much rocks. Looks sweet and feels well made.

Definitely get a size larger, you can always jab more holes in the leather if needed.

Being that it is leather it will deform a little in the back if you spend your day falling down the mountain like a gaper. So not really water proof, more like water resistant. Will still look sweet, just not as sweet as it could, only reason it doesn't get the full five stars.

I'm a 32 belt size and i got the brown M...
i fit into the third hole, so it fits ok, but it would fit better with a large, but im satisfied with the one ive got.

the bottle opener works great, and it has a really solid feel to it, really like this a lot!

just something to be aware of, the philips/flat head parts of the belt are the only part the go through the hole, dont know if this makes that much sense, but i figured it was worth mentioning.

sweet product

ive been using this belt for about 2 years now...its the same one from my original comment back in 2010, still holding strong..which i find incredible...most leather belts ive owned have torn in 6months - a year...although ive moved up a hole (now on number 4) thats after wearing this belt EVER SINGLE DAY...and i use the metal screwdrivers all the time, for things that arent even snowboarding related...also, i do a bunch of traveling, havent had one issue with wearing this thing through the airport, just throw it into the x-ray machine and your good to go...bottom line...if you dont own this yet..your missing out on an amazing deal

Great idea for a belt: waterproof, leather, holds up the pants. It has all the tools you need for a day of snowboarding, including a bottle opener. You wont have to worry about falling on your pocket tool anymore. The belt is pretty long though.

The belt itself is very nice, but it fits very snug. I have a 33-34 waist size, and bought a large and I barely fit in the last notch, so I would go with a size up of what's recommended.
