VCT Alpine Ski

When 4FRNT built the VCT Alpine Ski, they built it to cross the bridge between backcountry touring and big-mountain freestyle boards—and they succeeded. The raised tail on Vincent Dorion's pro model ski is squared-off, so attaching touring skins is much easier, and 4FRNT added a fourth length option in this ski to divide the VCT line evenly between more maneuverable tour flex and big-mountain stiffness. Both light and heavy riders can find a match for any terrain—the 182cm and 189cm models are burly planks for the big lines and steep, open bowls of the West, while the 168cm and 175cm lengths are dialed for all-around backcountry and sub-treeline powder skiing anywhere. East-Coasters that are used to narrow trails and tight trees can pick up a shorter VCT and enjoy a maneuverable, bombproof ski that grips on Vermont's notorious frozen granular but still floats in hidden fluff stashes. The sweet graphics on the VCT are the work of fellow 4FRNT team skier and French Canadian, Charles Bedard.

Bottom Line: Thanks to the 4FRNT VCT, the backcountry will never be the same.

These skis rock! Unlike most twin tips these are very stable at very high speeds and love to go fast, very fast. If straight lining and cliff drops are your normal runs, these are the skis for you. When you strap these to your feet you can tell these are not for the faint of heart, it takes a little more effort to throw them around. They definitely love the pow and are built for big mountain. Ski the big lines like the pros with confidence, leaving you smiling from ear to ear. Once of the most fun skis I've ever ridden.

Both great skis. The lines are softer, quicker and more playful. The vct,s are damper, smoother and handle speed better in the longer lengths. the lines are cap const. vs the vct,s are sidewall but chip easy. If you want more of a big mountain ski go vct, but if you want more of a playful ski that can also handle anything save $150 bucks and get the 100,s unless these 168cm can work for you but vct,s run short by about 3 to 4cm,s.

Good, not great, I really prefer Dynastar legend pros for this dimension. to much tail showing at the recommended mounting point. Still, not bad and I may have like them more if they were mounted further back when i skied them on a pow day.

Well I have only had backcountry skiis one season but these skiis were amazing for me in the powder this year. I live in Ottawa Canada, and we got dumped on this year but the skiing was crazy and these boards handled it with ease and I had a ton of fun with them!

I've tried these in both the 182 and the 189. While I love the float that the 189's provide, I preferred the manageability of the 182's.

Great ski, little big for groomers, but totally do-able if you are down to put a little more work into your turns. haven't had a chance to ski them in the pow, but with how soft they are with a 108 underfoot i cant imagine them being anything short of amazing.
