Get It Before Labor Day Weekend—Order With Free 2-Day*by 5pm MT 9/2/15

Demand some respect from your skis.

4FRNT named its all-mountain-crushing women-specific ski the Aretha for one reason—it wails. Being the twin sister to the Devastator, the Aretha takes the same all-mountain, do-it-all philosophy behind its design, and implements some lady-friendly designs so you get the most out of your ski. The Aretha features 4FRNT's contour core, which moves the weight of the core 5cm rearwards. Essentially what this does is allow you to drive your ski from your hips, and make you able to drive the true center of the ski, instead of constantly feeling like you're behind it.

All the other elements that you'd expect from a pair of 4FRNT skis are in play with the Aretha. The asymmetrical design gives the ski a directional shape and provides a consistent feel going into turns. The Reflect Tech technology makes sidecut and rocker work together and gives you a surfy feel in the powder, all while eliminating hip and tail hook so you get a more predictable and consistent turning sensation. Semi-cap construction partially wraps the topsheet around the sidewall, increasing the durability and longevity of the ski.

Heavier than competitors

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a heavier ski...I have skied on my 2013 pair for well over 100 days, and although it gets the job done, it is heavier than most competitors. This means, don't get a longer pair unless you want the extra work in making those turns. Additionally, if this ski isn't mounted dead center, you are always going to be chasing behind your skis and your tail might even start to drag. Overall great ski for multiple conditions. Exceptionally stable and sturdy :)

Did 4FRNT change anything on the Aretha from the '14 model year?

Responded on

Only a graphic update for this season and that's directly from 4frnt themselves. Assuming you are contemplating cheaper last year gear vs one year newer? Tough choices we skiers have to make.

Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions,
