The K2/Voile Insert Adapter Plate by Twenty Two Designs allows you to swap out your bindings without drilling new holes in your skis. Twenty Two Designs created these Adapter Plates specifically for K2 and Voile skis with inserts. This lightweight pair of adapter plates and hardware weighs a scant 9.5 ounces so they won't weigh you down. Steel inserts and an aluminum plate ensure mounting strength and durability. These Adapter Plates are not necessary to mount HammerHeads, but they do allow you to use inserts with your HammerHeads if you prefer not to mount them the old fashioned way.
Bottom Line: Introduce your skis to a plethora of binding options with the K2/Voile Insert Adapter Plate by Twenty Two Designs.
I just bought 2010 Dynastar NX Exclusive + Lifter Ski Bindings and 2009 K2 Schi Devil Telemark Skis. The bindings have a square pattern for both the front and back screws, whereas the skis have a five-hole straight line for the back, and a smaller sqaure for the front binding.
Will this adapter plate work for my skis and bindings?
These are incompatible with the axls. You wouldn't know it by reading the product description on this web site. I would recommend just drilling anyway. Save the money and the weight. At any rate, that's my only negative comment. The product works fine with the other 22designs bindings.
There's NO REASON to drill into K2 skis when they have screw inserts. That is just stupid. That being said there's also no reason to use these adapter plates if you're not screwing them into skis WITH INSERTS either, just to clarify . . . 8^)

Q: Can I mount your bindings on K2 or Voile Skis with inserts? A: Yes. For HammerHeads and BombShells, we have an insert adapter plate available if you want to use the inserts. However, you can also mount them by drilling and mounting as you would on any other ski. The HammerHead's mounting pattern is the strongest around, so there's no need to worry about bindings ripping out. The screws that come with the plates are sized for the HammerHeads, not the Axls. If you want to mount Axls, again we recommend drilling, but if you want to use the plates you'll need to buy shorter M6 screws and possibly grind the screw heads down.
I have 07/08 Blizzard Titan Cronus IQ with the tele adapter plate. I currently have BD 02's mounted but am looking for a more active binding like the 22D Hammerhead. Can I use these inserts to mount the HH to the Blizzard adapter plate?
This worked terrifically!! If anyone cares to try this it was a HUGE improvement for me over the O2s I had mounted previously. The setup is actually not that much more heavy since the toe-piece is the only added steel; the heal shim is plastic and comes with a new pair of risers with the proper hole alignment. Blizzard's adapter plate is also heavy plastic. The HH's also drive the skiis so much better than standard catridge-based tele bindings. A resounding SUCCESS!
The four hole insert pattern for the 22 Designs plates will attach to any "standard" 4 hole mount such as for BD 0' bindings, G3's, or Voile. So, to answer your question, yes. Binding to plate, to plate- interesting. Sounds like it might get a little heavy.
Hey Sandrine, Your Rottefella bindings should fit into the insert holes on your K2 telemark skis WITHOUT the adapter plate. the plate is only for 22 designs bindings, which have a different screw pattern than other telemark bindings...
Write your question here...so, I've got a pair of 2006 K2 World Piste (with inserts) and I want to mount a releasable binding. The 7tm will put me way up in the air with shims and adapters. I know I could put on some the voile CRB. Is there any way to mount some G3 targas and the voile release mechanism on these skis
Hey-I'm getting a new pair of schi devils and want to mount my old roteffella chili pepper bindings on them. trying to decide between these and G3 shims, which i think will also work. thoughts on which is better, and certainly would love to know if one is the ticket over the other--thank you!!
Hey Susan Either shim would work. The G3 will give you much more lift off the ski (15mm) which is pretty comparable to the risers that came with the Chilis - and they're half as much. That said, since you're getting a new pair of sticks, you should strongly consider getting some better bindings. The extension springs on the Chilis are a nightmare just waiting to blow up on you at any moment. If you're looking to save some green, check out the BD O3 and the G3 Targa. Good luck!
