The Hammerhead Tail Leash straps around your boot with a strong, non-slip side-release buckle. A metal snap hook clips into the hole at the top of the new HammerHead tail piece. This allows for a quick disconnect for crossing a sketchy slide path in the backcountry or hopping on the tram at a resort. Since the leash stays buckled around your boot, it won't flop around on your skis. The Tail Leash also prevents unwanted binding release caused by accidentally hitting the tail throw with your other ski. If you have several pairs of skis, you only need one pair of leashes to swap among them. The HammerHead Tail Leash only works with the new HammerHead tail throws that have a hole in the top.

Pretty Burly

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Don't think I'll be breaking these any time soon! Super burly, and they look sleek too. The only minor complaint that I have is this- when I throw the skis on top of the car, I strap my leashes to the bindings, so they don't destroy the roof of the car. When used with my BD 02s, the hook on the metal part of the leash always gets stuck on the cable, and it takes me some time to unhook it, since it's so small. Minor detail- other than that, these are bomber!!

22 designs hell yeah!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

22Designs makes the burliest stuff. No exception here. Although they are heavy they are also very secure. Great buckle and I have the strap version opposed to just the coil. I had problems with G3 leashes falling off and breaking (coil with plastic snap) and haven't looked back after buying these. I would Highly recommend!

Leash of Choice

I like these leashes the most out of all I've tried. I like that if you use one pair of skis, you don't have to leave the leashes on the skis in the backcountry, or in transit. Clip them to your boot's leash ring when wandering the lodge or plaza.

does the hammerhead come with two leashes or price is for one??
